Name Picture Common Usage
F-Type RF (coaxial) input/output on TVs, VCRs, satellite receivers, and RF distribution devices, etc.
HD15 VGA output to most Video cards, some HDTV receivers/monitors.
13W3 Sun Monitors and workstations
S-VIDEO Most DVD players and other digital video equipment have this higher quality video output. Keep in mind this is a mini din 4 cable. Do not confuse with mini din 6 (aka PS2) The mini din 6 connector is what most modern keyboards and mice use.
DVI Shown are a number of DVI connector interfaces that can be identified by the pin configurations. They include DVI-A (analog only), DVI-D (digital only) and DVI-I (analog and digital). In addition, single link and dual link configurations exist for both DVI-D and DVI-I. Shown are the maor configruations illustrating the distinguishing features for each type of DVI interface.
RCA This style connector is commonly found as a composite video and stereo audio input/output on tv's, vcr's, and other audio video equipment. The composite video connector is typically a single yellow jack. Component video usually consists of 3 RCA (red, green, and blue) (Y/Cb/Cr, or Y/Pb/Pr)jacks and is most often found on component video devices such as HDTV receivers, monitors, and projectors. RGB+HV (Analog RGB + Horizontal & Vertical Synch) typically has 5 connectors (Red, Green, Blue, Gray, White).
BNC This style connector is also commonly used for component video. It is also the output on many closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
